Storing a tent in the shed.

Ours is in the garage, not been a problem, I just make sure it's clean and dry before lobbing it in.

Our Rigidome lives in the loft. Get's passed up in sections and stored loosely folded, a job that's easier with a teenage lad to act a 'passer upper'. Even in a dry shed I'd be worried about mould never mind mice.

Nah. Put up the tent and put the shed in the tent. Keep the tent bag in the shed.

The benefits of being able to check the tent for leaks any time before departure are pretty obvious.

Oh, and as a bonus, if there's a deluge the day you need to strip the tent to pack it for your holidays, the tent bag will be dry and will stop the boot of the car from getting wet.
