I started trying to loose weight, decided just eating less was boring and took up jogging (more like walking fast to start with). When I found I was struggling to breath I decided to quit smoking. Went cold turkey (over 18 months ago) and still managed to loose 4 stones. I was calorie counting, using a website to enter everything I ate (a real bind to begin with but becomes easier after time), I suspect that the increased awareness of what I was eating stopped me from inadvertently eating that bit extra.
