The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Depends on the frame size (or should). IMO it is one of the things you should be able to specify/change FOC when you buy a new bike - like width of bars, crank length, seatpost layback, saddle.

Spesh bikes come with 100 or 110mm stems. Deda is good. Your saddle is too low in the pic.

Ok cheers, will re check, why do you say it's too low given the pedals are mid way and you can't see full leg extended? I will try to get another pic tonight and post with leg extended. Cheers.

Just by looking I can see that it's too low.

The way to measure is to sit straight on the bike, leaning against a wall and put one pedal at the bottom of its stroke then allow your leg to hang naturally above it, without straightening it. This is called the "naturally cocked" position. If the saddle height is correct your heel should just be contacting the pedal. Don't straighten your leg.

Yeah I know, but while the stems are in the post we've both got no bikes to ride, then if I don't like it I've got to post it back again! For £15 for a new stem or so we are nearly there with postage costs, so like I said very nice to offer but I'd rather buy a cheap one and have a choice of two

Well, I've got two bikes so that wouldn't bother me, strictly

Ordered a 90 mm "Deda zero 2" in the end will see if that makes a difference. Rotated my bars too far as levers not very accessible when in the drops so backed that off a tad, put my seat up a little but found the bike most uncomfortable so dropped it back down a little again. We will see if shortening the stem by 30mm improves matters!
