I suppose my other concern is that I wait for it to come in, and then I try it and don't like it for whatever reason. Then I could have got something else anyway. Do you think I'd just 'get used to it' if that was the case or do some people just not suit certain bikes?

Deborah.

How much does it cost to Oldham?
From what i've heard the sirrus is/has been very popular down the years for a very good reason- it's a very good bike. As long as it fits, i'd be surprised if you weren't happy with it.

Well cause I'm using it to get to work, and I usually take a handbag, I thought I could just shove it in the basket. Wanted to make it as easy as possible and it would mean I'm not having to put a bag in a bag, or alternatively having to unpack everything and then pack it all up again when I get to hospital.

I know you can get the smartish briefcase panniers, but I rather like my multi-coloured collection of handbags which match my work clothes!

The bar bags I've seen online look about 5-7litres which doesn't seem very big. Do any girls, or guys with partners, or guys that use handbags (I'm all for non-judgement ;)) have any idea whether a decent sized handbag would fit in one?

I suppose the basket would make it pretty easy for people to just grab my handbag and run off with it (I'll be cycling in Salford). I don't know... too many decisions!

I think you'd be pretty restricted about the size/shape of handbag you could fit in a bar bag but at least it would keep it dry. You could always take a selection of your handbags into one of the bike shops and try them out. I agree that a basket would be easier, although I'd be worried about security. You could put your handbag in a pannier and just leave the pannier on the bike when you get to work. So many things to think about!
