DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
@davidphilips - interesting but probably not worth a huge deal. But for the sake of adding a rear wheel it'd be something different.

A few more from Facebook muppetplace:

Paganini road bike, small, Stoke on Trent, £165

Not familiar with the brand but it looks like a nice lugged steel frame for reasonable money; internally-lugged fork suggests it's probably decent

Bobbin Albion, Andover, £80

I think a lowish-end retro-styled steel framed effort - I suspect this would make an excellent commuter / utility bike with a few additions.

Steel and STIs for next to nowt - what's not to like?

Viscount Aerospace tourer, Brighton, £95

Not familiar with this model but it looks quite intriguing and perhaps a bit special with the drilled brake levers, flared bars, chromed fork and extensive lighting.

Did a bit of research and there's a fair bit on Sheldon Brown's site

More from FB; tbh one seems spoilt for choice with what's on there currently in terms of nice old steel...

Raleigh Royal Mixte, Chelmsford, £80

Not mint but still looks really nice; especially for the modest monies..

Hercules Balmoral, Bristol, £30

Looks like a good honest pub / utility bike for not a lot of money..

Small apparently-Pinarello, Colchester, £175

Unsure of condition (chrome might be a bit grotty) but looks like the real deal to my untrained eye

I get the feeling that it's only a matter of time before something "too good to miss" crops up locally..
