Why can't I be cycling for fitness but not as sport, and sustainability but not green? So there's your first "other" vote.
Is that not about being green, well it was when I stood for local council for the green party, mind you things seem to be taken more seriously these days than 20+ years ago.

my vote well everything bar sport and racing really, I go to the shops, cycle to York for the W.N.B.R, can't get much more tree hugging than that with out hugging a tree, commute a couple of times a week.

If "fitness" is the ability to stuff my face with cakes, curry, and beer without worrying about whether I'll still fit into my trousers or not, then "fitness".
I wouldn't do that (mainly the cakes... good curries and beers OK in moderation and you can have a bigger portion than an inactive person). Cycling isn't a free pass for an unbalanced diet. You can look slim but still get any of the big killers and a bad diet can contribute to it.

I started for health reasons but, having got into it, what's not to like about a day like this on the Monsal Trail:

It makes me want to take up kayaking too ^_^

I am now commuting by bike (when it's not in the shed or I've lost my helmet (this happened this week!!)) but like to get out for the odd ride for pleasure too.

I started for health reasons my avatar pic was taken on my first ride 10 days ago I always thought I was fit but blood work doesn't lie and keeping a cadence of 80+ was a reality check

Don't forget to enjoy your cycling. You don't have to stretch yourself to the limit. If you have fun, you'll be itching to get out and the benefits will come naturally.
