I meant that in winter it is a bit warmer.

What about when you have got a long layer on? I tend to put my long pants underneath my shorts and it stops it from flapping in the wind.

I manage to fill my shorts enough that they don't flap! You can read whatever you like into that.

Silly question, but does it ever get better ?

Third week in the saddle, have got the shorts and I'm still mincing as I walk. Lol

I used to suffer from the same problem - im on my third saddle - go to a good bike shop - they should have a bontager classification system to sort you out - also invest in a good pair of under shorts ( not gel ) you will find them on the Evans site
by the way i handed my first two saddles into the nearest Police station - there is an amnesty on lethal weapons
