nothing has been decided yet. it all depends on how many are free to ride and where everyone wants to ride. If the ride we do on Sunday is a good route perhaps we could do a repeat of that route.
Do you have any suggestions for a route ? it would be good if it started somewhere where there is good safe car parking and easy access . Ideally near a train station for those that don't drive

Right, Sunday 17th - all good for me. I've done some wangling with the other half and she's going to drop me in Taunton on Sunday morning on her way to Plymouth.

I'd appreciate keeping it a little under 40 miles as I'll be riding back to Bristol after. Hope to see you all on Sunday morning!

Peanut asked me for a little more detail on how to get to the car park.

The Kilkenny Road car park is still as shown in Peanut's link. This picture shows the whole of the station, beware - you need the car park marked "This One", not the one the other side of the station.

The route from the M5 to the car park is shown with the green splodge on the map. The signs are for Minehead, A358 until you reach Clifton Terrace.

The Clifton Terrace street name sign is* quite clear if you're on the A358 going west, the road for the car park is first left down Clifton Terrace.

* Safe to assume that this Saturday night is when it gets spray painted or pinched!

Is there any chanch we could meet @ 9am rather then 9.30.
The reason I ask is I am due @ work @ 2pm, so I need to be home for 1pm.
If not, then not to worry I will see you @ 9.30

Iain we are aiming to meet at 9am in order to give everybody a chance to get their bikes off car racks and put wheels on, pump tyres up get changed etc and to allow for people coming a long way that might get lost or held up in traffic.
we can then hopefully get off at 9.30 sharp. In order to start riding at 9.00 we would all have to meet at 8.30 am which might make it a bit difficult for those driving or cycling a long way.

I think its too late to change arrangements at this late stage. Why not see how the ride goes. If it looks like you might get back home late for work, you could cycle home from langport instead of returning to Taunton.

Better still why not carry your work things with you and cycle straight to work from Langport ?
