Oh dear......I have had a few "first" clipless momentsAs others have said, sometimes your body isn't on top form and it randomly catches you out. It's like your first clipless moment after years of clipping out without a problem.

That's a good thought. The first time I started commuting 12 miles each way, it was on the way home on Wednesday I ran out of puff and had to sit beside the road for several minutes.Could be the cumulative effect of several previous rides.
