Christmas is just the two of us and dog (we don't have kids) so it often feels slightly a let-down. I expect I'll go out cycling to try out the new SPD boots Santa is bringing me, and Uncle James may come with me to test out his new waterproofs. I expect it'll end up rather like a normal day for us, which is a bit sad really; I tend to find all the fun Christmas stuff happens beforehand (Carols by Candlelight, which I love, etc etc)

I'll pop by.....after cooking the lunch for 9 of us...probably mid 4 up Nintendo DS battles..... - my niece and nephew (13 & 16) SIL, MIL & FIL are all over. The 2 kids and my two are all getting these multi game carts from us (none of them know) so even though loaded with stuff, I'm sure they will ask for more before going home....so net surfing.... late afternoon, before Dr Who starts.....

So 4 up Mario Kart and Olympics here we go......

Boxing Day - am probably about, afternoon at my folks till late - Wii comps I can see in the evening - adults and kids, although my bro-in-law will only be able to do the sitting down games - mid 30's had his hip replaced recently - so now't too strenuous for him...

I will probably be here on my own unless I can find some hostel work for the duration. Not really a Christmas person myself, I tend to consider the winter solstice instead.

Thanks longers, but as they say sh1t happens. Our marriage hasn't been great for the past 12-18 months and I just feel I've got to get out. I suspect the next few weeks/months are going to be interesting:ohmy:

You should stay indoors by the fire peanut - then you could be dry and roasted.

I will stick me head round the door and have a look who's here. Not a xmas fan myself,it seems to drag on forever these days.Started around here mid September. The only xmas spirit I've got is in bottles.

Hmmm... Christmas. I expect I'll look in before becoming inert with excess of it all.

What I am really looking forward to is the arrival of the new bike in January to replace the accident damaged one. For ages all I have had in the UK is a Brompton - great round town but further afield? Not for me..
