Not on the £1500 bike he is considering most likely
I don't think he is looking at this for commuting either?

My workplace deleted their C2W scheme webpage so i dont think they do it anymore, I keep checking back but its been down since last year :|

I am half and half actually - Im looking for a 'nicer' bike to take out on the road for my commutes & weekend rides when the weather permits. Nowt wrong with my triban 540 though

Like i said previously. Nothing's set in stone. Im looking for one but that dont mean im going to buy one.

On a side note - Ive been to my local halfords and all their Pinarello bikes have been sold off & they have no Tifosi bikes in stock or demo/display.

Halfords can source any bike known to man I believe (has been said on here many a time ) do they offer ifc on just there stock bikes or anything ordered in as well ? Might be worth considering if they do.

For cycle to work that is so, for a 'cash' purchase I don't know
The problem with Halfords is the lack of test rides, if spending £1500 I'd like to try the bike, at least on a turbo

Tifosi Scalare Carbon Ultegra Road Bike From Halfords.

I dont normaly like to buy my bike from Halfords as they tried to stitch me up first time i did. But the employee that did that is long gone and while the staff there are relatively new and dont know alot about cycling - Im hoping their mechanics might know a thing or two....

Im tempted by this Tifosi Scalare not just because its carbon, But its black and red (which look good on a bike ) and they are currently offering 0% interest on finance.

So heres a good way to get on the carbon bike wagon for a decent price and not be charged extra for it

The idea here is that i buy the bike and swap my current H Plus Son wheels over with the wheels that are currently on the bike itself as the odd review has stated that the wheels it comes with arent exactly the best in the world.

What are your thoughts?

(oh and i also get 10% off from BC)
As Halfords are offering what you need, a no doubt reasonably good bike at the very least, at 0% finance, and you like It, and youll get another 10% off, whats not to like ?
The hubs, i think i had them on a former Bianchi, perfectly good hubs. Ultegra, a branded frame...if you like it, get it.
I like the look of the overall package...the rear caliper arrangement is a bit of an unknown for me, but otherwise...

Size wise...i brought my Ribble Sportive unseen. Do the homework, compare measurements against a known bike you have, get everything as close as possible, i had no problem with what arrived. Not a perfect way of doing it but it worked for me.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Tifosi Scalare Carbon Ultegra Road Bike - wouldn't it be more accurate to call it a 'Tifosi Scalare Carbon Miche Road Bike, with Ultegra front and rear mechs and shifters' as they are the only Ultegra parts on it. Bit naughty, implying an Ultegra groupset.

I'll wait until they start having bikes in stock and for demo at their stores i think. The range replaces their Pinarello's they were selling previously so who knows how long it may take for them to start getting stock in.

One might even say that it can be a 'Miche'mash of an ultegra groupset.
