I'm almost always Big Jack Brass on forums. He was a character in an online game I played ten years ago, the name deriving from the Michael Moorcock character Count Brass and, appropriately, the phrase "big jack-ass."

And since my name's Jon I'm also a Jack.

mine comes from my encyclopedic knowledge of the classic mini. it all started when people in my mini club started to call me "the geek" but i soon turned it around to "the anorak". I'm well known in the classic mini scene as the anorak so i use it on most things to avoid confusion

what's with all the name shortening that seems to be the flavour of the month at the moment? is it to try to create intrigue so that people will be intrigued as to what it stands for? Because it isn't particularly intriguing.

Back when I started on the C+ site when I first got on the 'net, I was on a UNIX system; my allocated log-in was the first three letters of forename and surname. Kept that when I came over here. This is the only place on the 'net I kept the name, I have a different name I use everywhere else
