Ha! I went from Ashton just down the hill from the Crem to the top of the Snake Pass and back again in about 2½hrs. Maybe she should have cycledtook my daughter 2 hours from Glossop to dukinfield crem today...that's about 7 miles !!!

That's not what I consider to be lots of snow and I used to live not far from there in Leek back in the 70's when we did get lots of snow!
That is a poor show indeed. Buxton used to get cut off for weeks back in the day. They just don't try hard enough anymore
Funny thing, I saw more people on bikes this morning than I do usually and it was pretty much like that pic here too, the hailstorm half way in was an added bonus, buff up to my nose, barely an inch of skin showing.
I've had much deeper when I lived in Surrey, and I'm not even going to mention my childhood playground just south of Rannoch Moor!
