As to the "Blame game" side discussion; Pete's happy to accept he was at fault - he's okay, hopefully the bike is okay too (?), no harm, no foul, lesson learned. If his thread reminds other CC'ers to remain alert then it's done a good job, but let's please not have pages and pages discussing something that didn't happen and wasn't someone else's fault. Thanks.

Bikes fine, ta. Contact was not made with car or Tarmac.

It's not a matter of disbelief, just disagreement whether the motorist should have overtaken at a junction.

Mode of transport is irrelevant, every road user makes mistakes from time to time no matter how well intentioned. It's called being human and thankfully we usually get away with it due to others being more alert than we were at the time.
