Do you know, I'm beginning to think he's not intelligent enough to be a troll after all. That is as far removed from a straight answer as it's possible to get. Ludicrous.

Lets not get too personal TMN...I don't have an ignore list now, I don't want to feel the need to start another one..what next 'Linfords not a real cyclist because of a POV he holds on cycle lids' ?

Sorry no, I have no interest in motorcycle helmets. Once again, it is for you to prove your case and that includes all your side issues.

It is as simple as this...you either see
A) value in using head protection in an impact to mitigate to a degree
B) No value in head protection and there is no mitigating value in any form of head protection in any instance

What is it to be for you ?

Oh don't worry I've seen your very amusing 'selfie' (how on earth did you manage to get it, if it really is one that is?) with your bicycle and your ill-fitting helmet, Linford. I just hate the way you ruin these threads.

It always follows the same trajectory: you head the topic off down a side track of your choosing, ask a few irrelevant questions which people take more seriously than they deserve, you get asked some direct questions in return, you ignore them, post rubbish about riding your motorbikes, driving your 4WDs, or keeping your horses, then ask more pointless and irrelevant questions, ignore the responses, and so on, ad nauseam. If that's not a sheer definition of trolling I don't know what is. Even when people patronise you by asking you directly to please ANSWER THE QUESTION, IT'S EASY, you still blather on.

And yet, and yet. Still people are patient, they try and encourage you, try and include you. I just don't understand why, because quite honestly CA&D is a much more interesting and pleasant place without you - doesn't that tell you anything?

I got chatting to a passing walker and he took the pic. If you don't believe that is me in the pic then that is fine by me...you think I make everything else up...just add it to the list.

You missed the sad bit. When you posted

It rapidly turned out that your opinion was based on @#£% all. Nice one.
That's not what you quoted for your "sad" comment. Perhaps that's why i missed it? God knows. This "debate" got dull about five pages ago.

Why are motorcycle helmets being compared with cycle helmets? Do they not use different British standards? You may as well compare cycle helmets and flat caps for the relevance between them.

Maybe you should consult sazzaa about the relevance of evidence?
Christ. Don't any of you get bored of your own sh*t? Lighten up ffs. My comment about stats is that i take my own sense of fear and safety above any study, I'm not sure why that's such an alien concept to anyone? I'm not talking for the world here I'm giving my opinion, and i don't have an interest in winning an argument or even starting one for that matter. I think some of you really need to take your heads out of your ars*s and realise that opinions are just that, opinions. Everyone is entitled to them and they shouldn't be an open invitation for a full on grilling, it's like a bloody playground on here. Grow up people, and again, lighten up.

OK, but do you understand what a 'selfie' is?
The last one was rubbish...This is as good as it gets when sat on a bike

But do you understand what a 'selfie' is?
Yes do in the strict sense of the term....and no, that pic is close enough. That is why I asked a passer by.

What you want is a yes man....I'm sure ca&d is full of them now.....can't you go and gang up on yellow tim in there again or some other who dares fall out of step with your pov ?

Yes everyone is entitled to an opinion but there does come a time when we would all be better off if they chose not to express it. Especially when it is just nonsense.
That's just your opinion..

It's not an alien concept that people do take their own sense of fear above any study, the alien concept is that this is somehow laudable? Of the many different issues in play here, one of the key issues is the way that constant banging on about the need to take protective measures when cycling (protective measures which aren't presented as necessary for any other comparable activities) reinforces the sense of fear associated with cycling that many people undoubtedly have.

If you have see some of the driving standards of others when following them , you would appreciate there is valid reason for concern.
