We (family) planted around 500 metres of new hedgerow by hand a few years ago. Re establishing historical field borders

On hedgelaying, as a wee lad I had a holiday on a farm in Yorkshire in 1959 and I can still clearly recall a day or two when the farmer and other local agricultural folk all got together to tidy the hedges up. It was fascinating to a wee city oik - !
