Should I become a teacher?

im an ok student cathryn lol - i do my homework 99% of the time and actually enjoy going to school(but still cant wait to get out into the working world)

french as a subject was torerable but the teacher:angry::evil: - she has put me off french for life;)

My last bit of homework i did, i did a small bit then someone 'accidently' spilt coffee all over it, and then while drying it (wafting it around like a mad man) it all ripped. Damm:wacko:

Teaching is a good job if you don't take it too seriously and have the ability to control a class. The national curriculum has dumbed things down so even a modest amount of diligence gets decent exam results, which despite all the caring talk you will hear during teacher training is the real bottom line for all schools and is all you will really be judged on. There is a lot of bureaucracy, but that goes for virtually every job these days, and as in most jobs 99% of it can be done on autopilot.

I'm doing a CELTA (TEFL) course at the moment at a local college. Some of the students are Spanish and I get to help them improve their English by including a translation into Spanish of what they're trying to say in English.

Did you follow that?:evil:

I see the course as a way of getting into teaching, possibly full-time at some point in the future as well being able to use my second language skills.
