Shipping/posting a cycle-advice on appropriate service

I am selling a cycle soon, and want to offer shipping/posting in addition to "collect in person". What is the best metthod? Is there a set price for cycles by Royal mail or are there couriers that tend to deal with this favourably. Thanks .

I used parcel force to send one in the past. You will need to know the weights and dimensions of the package you are sending. I also went into Halfords and they gave me a free empty bike box to send it in! I think it cost about £25.

PAISLEY FREIGHT are often lauded as offering a good service at a reasonable price.

Never used them myself TBH but I have used APC OVERNIGHT and also PARCELS2GO, but I'd try Paisley Freight first.

FYI, courier prices always go up when a parcel go overs water. That means that in their eyes they don't count Northern Ireland as UK mainland in the way the Royal Mail do.

Yup, done this a couple of times too.
My LBS is more then willing to give them away.

try senditnow.com cheaper than paisley and goes via parcel force , have used both along with parcel monkey .
