Advice please on what to do with this fluffy wool on my jumper that appeared after being caught on velcro

When they arrive @Accy cyclist stab the affected area and keep stabbing till the fluff has been drawn back into the jumper. Keep your non stabbing hand away from the needle. They hurt like hell due to the barbs.

My old, old employer had a machine that stitche wire with a needle that was about 5mm diameter with a cm long or more pivoting barb. One of the managers managed to get his wrist in the way of one. Apparently that hurt but the machine was stopped quickly and it didn't rip out. They took the needle out of the machine with his wrist and pulled it out on the side with the barb that has pass through. Fortunately they pulled the stainless steel wire out before he got stitched!!! he stil has a bloody big scar where the hole had been!! Don't mess with needles that have barbs, going in is less bad than coming out!
