Today I did my first ride on the clip R pedals, 62 miles to Whilton Locks and back. Overall I'm pleased with them, they're dead easy to get in and out of, perhaps a little too easy, unlike my previous excursions into clipless where it took a hard twist and tug to unclip from the pedals. As long as I kept the feet straight I had no trouble with unplanned unclipping. I had company most of the way back and approaching a right turn I turned to look behind to see where he was twisted my foot slightly and unclipped, I did something similar at a set of traffic lights, I stopped put my foot down and sat on the top tube whilst leaning on the bars waiting for the lights to change twisted my foot slightly and unclipped, something I'll have watch in the future. I recon I'll have to tighten them a click once I've got used to them but for now the second click will do, and I'll persevere with them and see how I go.
