Pretty gloomy here (outside) coffee in hand. Whether to Zwift this morning before going to Auld Reekie to meet daughter no.2 for lunch or leave it till later, Hmmm?
Will have to take the MX5 and get it dirty!

Dirty MX-5 you say ? Sounds horrific 🤣

Love actually driving mine. And in 4 years as an enjoyable daily - it’s been immense fun. And I’ve spent approx 7-pence on it over and above MOT’s, servicing and consumables.

It’s just so freaking useless for anything else. I’ve been debating / threatening getting something useful / I can get a bike in or on for some time. That fun factor and reliability ain’t easy to give up though…..

I was surprised how well an e-bike for a friend coped with this 50-mile route... still had used just half the battery, and sailed up the big climb of the day with a smile on her face.

Anyway, I'll be putting a beef stew in the oven to cook slowly soon, as I'm jettisoning what's left of a chicken dish that had been in my old broken fridge, and might have been the cause of a 'lively' night belly-wise.

Theirs aren’t quite so modern. I don’t think they have anything like that range from conversation. But yes - I’m sure a newer bike would easily outperform me - everywhere !

Morning peeps. 20 mile road run today with not enough training and having never done the distance before. Dirty Reiver next in 5 wks. Mr T, when my brother turned up on his ebike the first time I asked his how long he'd been disabled or infirm, he wasn't impressed. He's just fat and unfit. 🤣. Seriously though for some people and ebike is a good idea.

Send him this pic Oxo, he's sure to like it

Anyhow, morning folks.

Hound walk this morning before the rain arrives. And before Junior arrives back from uni - apparently she's on her way from Cheshire already, not sure how a student managed to get out of bed that early though.

Maybe some weights and watch the GP highlights later.

Sitting on the turbo just spinning my legs watching the GP.

Legs very 2nd hand after 3hr run followed by pushing the wife around town on the wheel chair, then met some pals for a mountain bike ride and they both turned up on e-bikes 🙄

Run in town organised by the gym, maybe another run with a pal.

Pub later

Crazy bloke.

Far too much effort today clearing out a dead scrubby bush that the critters had killed off, but at least the job is done. Some landscaping to clean it up still required, but another day...

Trying to finish fettling trainer bike, now waiting on some fresh bits to turn up in the post.

Regular
Are those races? That’s a crazy schedule!
I’ve got a 70.3 on the 6th of June and as usual have late it pretty late.
Swim pace, happy.
Bike, happy ish.
Run, dreading it.

You know you can do it, it just might not be as fast as you wanted and hurt more!

You can tell by the amount of races I haven’t got a coach currently 😂

Afternoon. Survived a 20 mile run somehow, never done the distance before. Just another off the bucket list. Stevo that's an old pic, I accused my brother of being one of them. He wasn't impressed. 👹
