It's a beautiful county. Definitely recommended. This is on the LEL route. Thanks to @redfalo for the lovely photo

I have raced those roads a lot back when, they are not funny. I have a lot of admiration for the cyclist of Boston, just imagine 7 miles straight back and out.

How does heroin grab you OP?
Me and a mate cycled through lincs on the way to Yorks.
We took a turn through some proper back lanes and and realised we were surrounded by fields and fields of opium poppies. At the time we were convinced we were transported to Afghanistan but then we'd been cycling through miles and miles of flat, featureless countryside, our senses were deprived and we were probably beginning to hallucinate.

Here for rides.
I've got friends in Boston. It has a tricky but interesting parkrun, a fascinating market, more Polish shops than you can shake a stick at, and some very nice people. Some not so nice ones too.

We used a lot of the LEL route. One of my all time cycling highlights was cycling the old b1398 along the ridge out of Lincoln. There was a tail wind, hardly any cars on this lovely road and the Red Arrows from RAF Scampton decided to give us a show. It was ear to ear grinning.

At least you didn't mention Immingham. Oh.

Compared to east Yorkshire it's positively mountainous.

You know that sometimes the mind blanks out bad things. The only thing Immingham did for me was help bump up my savings, lot of transport needing screen's fixed back when I worked the area.

All this love for Lincolnshire means I'm sold......

It's embarrassing I've never been. It's only sixty odd miles from Glossop. So I'm gonna ride it when the weather improves a bit. decent tailwind and it'll be a nice ride

The only question is do I aim for Lincoln which I'm sure is lovely, or Gainsborough which may not be quite so lovely? Maybe I could get a Lincolnshire double-header in with a stop in Gainsborough then onto Lincoln for a few beers

There's some good pubs in Lincoln, unfortunately I can't remember their names.
