 Sorry you can't make it @Fubar ... don't suppose you want to try the train again? You must be scarred for life after that incident with the exploding tyre

Might have a slight logistical, putting the (currently in storage) Focus in for a service tomorrow morning but they can't guarantee that it will be ready before I head back up to Tayside on Sunday. If that's the case I can always take a half-day next Friday and pick it up then

Can I get confirmation what everyone is doing transportation wise? I'm not sure which side of the country I'll be travelling to Carlisle from until this Sunday...

Is anyone taking the Glasgow to Carlisle train? What about from Edinburgh? Are there spaces available in any cars?
Etc etc

Due to continuing achilles tendon problems, I am currently only venturing out for the occasional short, snail paced, flat-ish ride. So I'm afraid I won't make it to this one, @MikeW-71 . You can now rest assured that you will have perfect weather for the ride!

Ed, I'll be driving down, so yes, I can take you and one other if anyone else is interested.

Sorry, I'm not gonna be there either - I had a few weeks off my bike and withdrew from today's 24hr Mersey Roads TT - I have now come down with a cold so am resigned to not being in any position to ride this.

I was considering that depending on what I was or was not needed for but yesterday we had some news that Mrs Fubar's mum has deteriorated (she's 85 and in a home in Derbyshire) so heading down there today and things will be a bit on hold for the next week.

Awesome, thanks George - much appreciated!
Where's best for a rendezvous? I'll be travelling from Darnley, @Harry_Palmer79 will presumably be travelling from Partick. Maybe Shields Road, straight onto the 74 from there?

Hi Ed, I'm not sure if we can get onto the 74 at the Shields Rd interchange, looking at Google maps we might have to go round the corner to Wallace Street. However, it would be a good place to meet up, say outside the Scotland Street School? We should make Carlisle in just short of 2 hours, so meet about 8.00am I think.
@Harry_Palmer79 Is this all OK with you as well Ross?
