That's odd, it got a positive response in the VeloVision forum:

This is the only reference they made to the Scottish bike show:

"Our second show was at the first ever Scottish Bike Show held at the SECC in Glasgow. Met a lot of people some of who post on this forum - Arellcat of course who enjoyed meeting some potential customers. We had some sales so very happy as these events aren't cheap.

I reckon that this wil be the first time that a selection like an Alize, Sprint, Fujin SLI and Fuego would be shown alongside mainstream bikes in Scotland. Quite unusual in UK even.

I also had a customers Fuego with SON hub on show saturday having been cycled 50 miles over central Scotland. On Sunday I had another customers Fujin SLII - all good as it shows the bikes in use.

Once show started we had full stall all the time."

So the floor space WAS expensive; and it was busy. Busy doesn't necessarily mean good, just that a lot of curious people went along to see what it was like. So like a lot of others, I have seen it, wasn't impressed and won't be going back!

I was confused as to what the bike show was all about. £6.50 to visit Alpine Bikes? Pardon?

Charging £1 to allow access to a (zero liability) bike rack would be offensive at a car show. Or at a swimming pool or a shopping centre. At a bike show it is plain weird. And also quite patronising, as if saying it's a fun way for us to participate in proper grown-up car culture. Misjudged, at best.
