School "House names"

I had forgotten about these house names until last week when talking to a mate about school days,Happy times!

Latimer, Hooper, Cranmer and Ridley I think. My kids don't seem to have houses at their schools.

Our were all rivers. Houses didn't really matter until rugby/footy matches or sports day when lines were drawn in the sand and words and fisticuffs inevitably exchanged.

Primary School: Melrose, Selkirk, Jedburgh, Yarrow
Secondary: Fleming, Livingstone, Watt and I can't remember the fourth

At my school we were divided into two bands called X and Y. I was in Y.

Scott Clynes Hey and Dalton. My Great Grandpa, A local Councillor was Mr. Clynes


Not a clue who Hey was supposed to be though.

Secondary was really imaginative: L, R, G and S.

As far as I recall, Rise (my house), School, Alcuin, Dronfield, and, er, some others. Junior school ones were Beverley, Wentworth, Fairfax, Elmet and one I can't remember.

2y school was, Cheshire, Damien, Keller, Shaftsbury, can't remember my Prep-school houses.
Mrs FF's were, St David's St Patrick's, St Andrew's, St George's.

Didn't have houses in my secondary school.
