Scary incident this afternoon.

Can't be arsed attitude from BiB, or maybe, a 'it will cost more to follow up than it will generate in fines' attitude would be more accurate???

Best of luck.

I would expect that Roadsafe might well choose to prosecute that. They are all or nearly all traffic officers, usually with motorcycle experience.

I just love Roadsafe - really professional unit, and they are so easy to report to online. Going down to a police station can sometimes be a very time consuming process.

Who are roadsafe? I tried to google them and came up with this link . This is not a group who would seem to prosecute offences as it is a campaign group. I presume there is anothe group you are referring to. Do you have a link to them?

Re OP - was poor driving to say the least. Sadly, even if this were prosecuted, the driver would get a small fine and points. Also, I'd bet in most cases, the prosecution would not play the clip to the court at a sentencing hearing - relying instead on a verbal description of the incident. Quite why the prosecutors don't use footage more often is beyond me. The old adage that a picture paints a 1000 words is so true.

Nice camera set up. What is it and how do you show both views on same clip?

Yes, not only the video footage, but the driver of the other car. I'd want to push for a traffic officer to see this, and perhaps ask Roadsafe about this decision as it just doesn't seem at all reasonable. Perhaps Roadsafe will be willing to push the officer handling it to put it forwards for prosecution since Roadsafe are almost all motorcycle traffic officers.
It strikes me that the person who made the decision has not viewed the evidence of the video. If they had, they could not reasonably write the letter they had.
