I have a 35-40 year old woman on Facebook who wants to know my Whatsapp (i don't use Whatsapp) and Gmail addresses. Well,i say 30 year old woman,but i doubt it. 'She' says she's from Germany and now lives in Ghana. Is this probably a scam? I might ask 'her' why she wants them.🤔

She's either after the air fare to see you*, or she's a long lost relative, you never knew about, with a cheque for a few million that she wants you to bank for her.

But how would having those addresses help 'her' if it is a con? It's not like 'she's asking for me to send money or give my bank account details.🤔 I give my email address out often when asked for it. Maybe 'she's genuine.🤔

@Accy cyclist - if she's got your e-mail address then he (unlikely to be a 'she') can use that and attempt passwords / information recovery. It's all information gathering.

I seriously don't know how they operate. 'She' keeps calling me 'dear' 'How are you this morning dear'. In a way i'm playing along with her/them. My daughter tells me to block her,but leading them on,thinking they've hooked a gullible one is a bit of fun wouldn't you say?

As long as you're careful with any information you give out.
