There are various things I've stopped buying over the years after they changed to new "improved" recipes:

Stagg chilli con carne used to be the best on the market, now it's the worst,
Glenryck pilchards now taste foul,
Tesco budget brown sauce and Sainsburys brown bread changed for the worse...

The sausages in beans have always been nothing but disappointing, no matter the brand.

Since my wife died last year my appetite disappeared** and I have resorted to eating any junk that fills the hole. A can of Aldi beans n sausage with 2 potato waffles does the trick. Not gourmet food by any stretch but as I say, it fills the hole.
**pleased to say that with help from my daughter the appetite is gradually returning.

they have included Britains worst sausages in the spaghetti as well, i'll give them both a swerve.

I know the originals were just frankfurter type, but they tasted better than the mush that's in there now. No reason a sausage should have gluten in, other than filler.

Is @Fnaar still on CC?

Heinz has teamed up with Richmond to launch “improved”, co-branded versions of its canned sausage products.
Beanz with Sausages 415g and Spaghetti with Sausages 400g (both rsp: £2) now include Richmond pork sausages, and their pack designs have been updated to feature its logo.
The two products – which were developed as part of Heinz’s mission to “elevate its sausage portfolio” – are permanent additions to the range, replacing the former tins.

WOW

Just been told to go on a GF diet but had checked the store cupboard and thought they were OK

but just looked again and the oldest was a "non richmond" version and was GF
the other FOUR (!!!) are all no good for me anymore!

I tried RIchmond some years ago and they were rubbish - come across them since and they had not improved

just better marketing that some more expensive ones

But thanks for spreading the word!

I used to drink high in vit c Ruben's full sugar version when I had a nasty cold. It helped.

Until they changed the recipe from sugared to lower sugar but over sweetened with artificial sweeteners. After that I might have felt better with the cold but its never know s of have a vicious migraine complete with violent bouts of calling Huey down the toilet bowl!

I mean they also had the sugar free one so should have kept the full sugar version for those of us who can't consume artificial sweeteners. It was comfort drink between lemsips and helped me get better quicker I think.
