I heard Tago Mago on the John Peel show and went out and bought it the next day, fantastic album.

My first experience of Can came when I borrowed Ege Bamyasi from the Leeds Uni student record library just because I liked the cover. Turned out to be one of the most sensible decisions I ever made.

Tago Mago is probably my favourite Can album though.

Damo Suzuki is still with us. I know he's not one of the 'core' members but he's the definitive Can vocalist in my book.

Malcolm Mooney is still with us too. I couldn't say who would be the definitive Can vocalist in my opinion, I know Damo is probably recognised as such but I reckon Malcolm Mooney was just as integral and important to the band during his time. Obviously he wasn't the greatest singer, Can were not technically the greatest musicians by their own admission, but he put so much emotion in to his singing, listen to his singing on Thief, then compare that to She Brings The Rain, totally different but both totally brilliant. Thinking about it as I type MM just about edges if for me.
