What about a pub crawl as well ? I've much more natural ability at doing that, than cycling.

Pubbers, sorry if you already told me, but do you plus friends plan on staying in the lodge?

Best not to include me (or friends) staying at the lodge; I'm not certain which (if any) will be able to make it. If I do stay over, it'll be on the Saturday night.

If you do both nights in the lodge it only works out at £12/night and leave you to enjoy the ride instead of arriving tired allready from the journey.

Could do that, I wasn't wanting to commit funds until I have next years budget sorted out but £24 will be liveable

Nice one Nozzer. I am going to troll through the thjread and my inbox to try and make up a list of who is coming who may be coming etc later this eve when I have time then will phone the Lodge manager tommorow to see if he will accept a booking from us on those numbers. I think they will .

Spoke to theBetws Eco lodge manager this morning .He has reserved us a 10 person room and a 2 person room for now and requires a £100 deposit. I dont mind paying the deposit so long as those that say they are coming will turn up if humanly possible.

If we get more people wanting to join us we can book more space if its still available .

Did a ride round the northern bit of the route today. Perfect weather,hard to believe its december. Really pleasant ride only one big climb over the "Devils Elbow" which is fairly steep but not that long. Views from the top are amazing then on the full ride you have a long downhill/flat recovery ride for the next 25 miles or so down to Neath.

First fairy visit of 2012 half a mile from the finish, condsidered pushing it back but changed tube and rode in in style instead.
