OK... Is it a play on the way the Spanish pronounce 'One'?

If so, it's January, because it's the only month (and helpfully the first) which begins with a different letter (enero) in Spanish than in English.

If that's right, I'm bloody glad I lived near Mexico for three years and can speak Spanish!

If not, I give up and will pretend that my March answer is correct, cos I'll lose the plot otherwise.
