So where's the answer?

To which one?

To the one that was put forward at the start of this thread.

I've already answered that one! It was silly, I haven't seen a digital clock face like that for years! I use my omega or my iPhone!

It's the number of 'lines' it takes to make a number on an antique digital clock, 8 for instance takes 7 'blobs' as per this image.

Is that it? You had me puzzled over how many 'bits' it takes to make up a number on a digital face the like of which I haven't seen since Adam was a lad?

I haven't seen one of them in years, that's not a puzzle it's more observational lateral thinking.

I was breaking it down into machine code and everything...obviously looking too deep.

...... two parents divorce, having had three children. Two male, one female.
Mother marries son. Father has child with daughter.
In what way are they related to each other?

Saw this on TV a while ago, but uncertain if it was daytime tv or just a series, possibly American, where this is supposed to have happenned.

Name five, or more, racecourses(horses) that have neither R, A,C or E, in their name.
Names as they would appear on a sheet, so the word "racecourse" would not come into it.

UK racecourse names only I should have said.
