Anyway, I find Bath a very pleasant place to stroll around for a few hours. There's a great pub by the river (on the B-B bike path) which is quieter than the town centre and has done us great breakfasts/lunches.
And FAR more importantly, there is the nicest bookshop I can remember in this hemisphere:

Mummy took me to Bath on the bus from Chippenham in around May 1950. They were filming ‘The Crimson Pirate’ in Bath on that day. We were waiting ages for all the Pigeons to settle on the ground as when the action started they wanted to show all the Pigeons take off at once. Finally they did and we went to a store for lunch. Burt Lancaster and Eva Bartok were filming that day.
