Replacing Crankset

I have replaced BB today, all torqued to manufacture spec. Cranks and bolts all greased and torqued. Checked with and without shoes with cleats but still persistent. When the crank arms are at 3 & 9 position and I hold the back brake if I push down hard on the 3 o’clock position is when it creaks. My Mrs was right down with her ear beside the area whilst I was doing it today and she has informed sound is definitely coming from the area. Driving me nuts, new crankset?

Try the same without sitting on the saddle and gripping the bars as lightly as you can.

Yeah wasn’t sitting on the saddle when I was pressing down on the pedal. Was at the side of the bike using my hand

I replaced the original BB on my Brompton due to creakage and later figured out it was the left hand pedal. Isolating a creak can be a real PITA.
