Repairing my...bib shorts

My chamois was loose on a pair of shorts so I put a few stitches in it to keep it from moving , I used some nylon thread and ended up with a cut in no mans land

A few stitches and some neoprene glue or shoo goo to hold the stitches in is how I would fix these shorts. Would definitely fix rather than throw away

@livpoksoc my Mother in Law did them by hand, patch on the inside, but I reckon a sewing machine could do it.

I might have accidentally put a pair of my bibs in with some jeans & now they have a chunk out of them. Has anyone bothered repairing their shorts before and is it worth it, or should I just bin them and get some more?

It's hard to imagine a hole being much more embarrassing than wearing Lycra in the first place.

Are your plums showing? If not, carry on.

I patched a pair with some Ironmend once

Dug out the bit of Ironmend I bought for those shorts and this evening patched some leg warmers with a small rip in them and some Sealskins gloves. It works very well.

After a couple of long rides, quite pleased with these (at £17):
Planet X Clubman Light Bib Shorts
Good cut (NB legs a little longer than some), no grippers on legs (a good thing), pad seems good (and a little larger than most).
