Removing Decals/Adhesive from Al Rims........

Hi all,
Decided that I'd prefer the Black Rims on my steed sans Fulcrum Decals, so peeled the ones off the Front wheel no problemo at all.

Back Wheel,.......different matter !! Decals coming off in various layers and leaving all the bloody adhesive behind.......dohhh.....

Any tips for whats best/easiest to shift the mess without too much scratching about ?!

GT85 or WD40 will get rid of the adhesive but don't forget to clean the rim after

Isopropyl alcohol will do it too I think. And won't leave a greasy residue.

As @stalagmike suggest Isopropyl alcohol I can confirm it does work, but that was when I removed the Stickers from my wheels, not sure if it will work with Decals

Hair dryer on the decal should help it come off in fewer bits. Then the IPA. I'd guess acetone (nail varnish remover) would also work

Nail varnish remover works well too, and no residue.

You can take them off with boiling water, I might of got lucky but no residue left taking the massive decals off Cosmic Elites.

Sticky label remover. It smells pretty odd but it works.

You have to get it onto the glue line which may mean having to scratch up the label.

Mayonnaise. Leave on for a few minutes and the gunk and glue comes off perfectly.

Not sure how to get the mayo off though. White bread?

Steaming with the kettle normally works. Learnt something from stamp collecting.

Aerosol brake cleaner is brilliant, plus it evaporates and leaves no residue that could affect braking
