Rear wheel "wandering"

Normal - due to the dishing of the wheel to accommodate the gears. The spokes are different lengths and different tensions.

Had it been raining? my rear wheel was over the place friday, i must have hit a bit of diesel .

Ah new tyres. Many take a good few miles to scrub off the manufacturing agents used in moulds - Michelins are a royal pain at first, but super after that.

Random thought, hold the front up and check that the bars flop easily from side to side. When one set of headset bearings became notchy I had some odd moments where I thought I was not completely in control for a fraction of a second or so. Probably not related, but for the sake of a 5 second check...

I've just fitted my first pair of mitchelins, it sounds like I should wear them in a bit before cornering too much!
