Fair weathered, fair minded but easily persuaded.
Some people pay £10k for a bike!

I understand a racing team giving a pro a 10k bike to ride but why would an anyone else pay that unless they have more money than sense.

I see Hill Wimp is one of those.................

As for the jersey, not really a fan, I like the simplicity and asymmetry, but the yellow does nothing for me. Our club kit looks better than most of the pro peloton kit!

If by that you mean Hill Wimp is cyclist who Lycra budget is below her weekly shopping bill than too right I am.

It doesn't make you go faster you know.

That's not what I mean, what I mean is that you are one of those inverse snobbery spouting tossers that jabber on about how others choose to spend their money!

BTW you will find that in some cases high end clothing does make you faster! But then again, one wouldn't expect an ignoramus such as yourself to know that. Next you will be telling us the pro's only ride disc wheels because they have a larger surface area for sponsors logo's and that us nobody's are wasting our money!

Yes I like this too, but also think its too pricey for me! Would prefer in long sleeve though. FYI, if you like Rapha and want a cheaper alternative I highly recommend Torm. they don't market or photograph their product anywhere near as well as Rapha and the designs are a little less detailed, but the quality is every inch a match for Rapha (I'd say the pockets are much better with Torm). I have a grey T5 and its brilliant

Founded by an ex-Rapha bod, I think.

No its not... :cursing: Im one of the people who apparently has more money than sense.
I'm fed up to the back teeth with tossers making judgements about me because I own things of a certain value.
I appreciate Rob3rt's comments greatly.

Some harsh comments here, someone having a bad day?

Pay what you want I say. Unless I win the Euro Millions I'll always be going as fast as I can on a Planet X or Canyon and p*ss the savings up a wall!

I have an expensive bike because I really love the look and ride quality. I don't have any other expensive vices so choose to spend my money on my hobby, support my LBS and enjoy my life as I want to. Others can keep their opinions on my choices to themselves. I'll let my legs do the talking on the hills.

If people want to buy expensive gear or cheap gear...it's up to them to decide the value of it to them, not others. It really pisses me off when people pass judgement in this way, as if being a scrooge is some sort of badge of honour. The same is also true of people who look down on cheaper brands, I dislike them both...I'm an equal opportunity hater!!! :thanks:

I concur. Why should anyone feel they have the right to tell me how I should spend the money I work for? I've spent over £2000 in a local well known mail order bike shop in two months.

Nobody on this forum or indeed in the real world is going to convince me that I spent too much, too little or just enough. The "that's too expensive" crowd can sod off..

I'll make that decision based on the value I put in the items purchased.(That included two bikes, shoes, pedals, energy gels/bars and numerous items of clothing)
