We must be due a flood soon, everyone has moved back into Tower Place after the last one.

Looks like it's raining there, according to the river webcam, but I can still see York Beach* so the river can't be that high.

*A spit of gravel at the foot of Ouse Bridge, mostly populated by geese and litter.

Yes, we remarked as we went over the Pennines last week on the M62 that the reservoir next to the motorway is quite low.

We've had plenty of dry and hot this summer.
