Don't forget to order new cables while you are at it and presumably you have the tools required

seeing as im only upgrading the shifters & gear sets.

Lighter, more precise, quicker shifting.

Not sure I agree with that. Leaving aside the weight, which is largely irrelevant, I have not noticed 'more precise, quicker shifting'. 5700 shifts like it should do - click the lever and the mech moves up/down as it should. 5800 shifts in exactly the same way, one click, one sprocket.

What do you think of the 5800?

Same as 5700, but with one extra sprocket.
