I have used Gatorskins for the past few years or so.

Hard wearing, good grip, roll well, and maybe not 'proof' against punctures but if you keep them well inflated they are pretty damn good.

You can get folding Gatorskins too so if you feel like you might need a spare tyre on a trip............

Just taken delivery of my new dynohub wheel. The new rim (ridiga snyper) is a bit wider than the one its replaced and a bit much for the 23 schwalbe blizzard so I've put a 28 conti gatorskin on.

Still sticking with a 23 durano + on the rear so will be interesting to see how they compare fo resistance and longevity

That point above about checking tyres after rides is bang on.

As my Brompton is my only form of transport, I can't be bothered to do this - my Marathon Plusses put up with all sorts of abuse. I do have a little investigation when I finally clean my chain tensioner (perhaps every 3 months? Yes, I know, bad owner) but most of the crud has worked its way back out of the tread and all that's left is the gash. Some of them have cut the tread all the way to the blue anti-puncture stuff without any punctures.

Here for rides.
another vote for continental gatorskin harshells. As p*nct*r* proof as any conventional pneumatic tyre can be.

Been using Gatorskins for a couple of years. VG. No punctures. And heavier Dutch puncture proof tyres before that. Definitely better than bog standard.
