Protecting trousers from oil and tearing

Hi,

Does anyone know of anything i can attach to my bike to prevent the bottom of my jeans being ripped and covered in grease?

I tend to wear jeans that have slight rips in them at the bottom and they tend to get caught between the chain and the chain rings.

Try the humble bicycle clip!

I tuck the right leg of my jeans into my sock when I'm riding around town but cycling is still managing to destroy my jeans with oil. I'm just resigned to it...

Be a fakenger and roll up the right leg of your jeans?

I do that, im not a fakenger. Its just better then wearing cycle clips, or getting grease on your jeans.
But then jeans with cycling shoes dont look right. Thats a FACT. Ive walked around in cycling shoes and jeans and they just look silly, so you have to roll them up.
Or just wear shorts

My SPD shoes look like trainers, which most people would have no hesitation in wearing with jeans. Road shoes or high end MTB shoes and jeans would look pretty odd.
