What did you get? I’ve got a Samsung QLED in the living room and relegated the slightly smaller LG oled to the bedroom, but to be honest I think I prefer the picture from the oled.
It's a 55" Panasonic LZ1500. That is last year's model, so I got a good discount on it. In fact, I put off the purchase until I got back from my recent Devon holiday and the price had dropped by £120 while I was away!

It hasn't arrived yet - delivery is on Monday afternoon. I have been using premium bonds as my savings account for well over a year with a a view to buying the TV once I had enough to leave a reasonable holding after cashing in what was needed. Fortunately, my ailing old Samsung LCD TV has lasted long enough to keep me going. I will retire that to another room as soon as the Panasonic is up and running.

I have won £50 this year, so that helped a little, and it certainly beats the £0 that I would have made if I had left the cash in my Halifax current account.

Bugger all on my remaining holding, but the part I cashed in has earned a guaranteed £200 interest this month (as it will for the next 3 years)

Which would be less 40% for me after 3 months unfortunately, hence sticking with the PBs

£150 for me. Would have liked rather more as I unexpectedly needed a new roof last month! and just got back from one holiday and off on another on Saturday!

Early Retirement Planning
Going back into PB's for a while. I had a stocks and shares ISA which has done nothing over 2 years so I've "re-invested" in PB's. Getting fed up with the savings hassle at the moment. Although the rates are pretty good, I'm maxed out on savings without having to pay tax and virtually maxed out on my ISA. You pay all the tax on your earnings and they then take more off you if you save.
