Wee Ollie cat was at the vet today, treated for an abscess due to his fighting antics 😬
Trying to protect his new home 🥰

if it was lanced & open, here's hoping they stitched it & didn't use glue. had a cat whose glue let go, requiring a return visit for a legit stitch, to keep it closed. best vet visit, followed by worst vet visit, & 4 puncture wounds on two thumbs ...
Seems it burst on its own.
Antibiotic injection and some painkillers.
Recovering well with no issues 👍🏼
but did they stitch it closed?
Tough last few days and a very sad day today.
Sam has been a bit off colour last few days.
Thought he had a fur ball but seemed very wheezy yesterday, came on very quickly.
Off to vet, possibly asthma or something worse, off to another practice for an X-ray and lung tests, nothing definitive but asthma seemed most likely.
Took him home yesterday evening, got his steroid then settled down.
Had a difficult night and I called emergency vet at 1am.
Said if we brought him in they’d repeat same tests already carried out a few hours previously, which included a general anaesthetic.
Not willing to put him through that so gave him another steroid as advised and sat up all night with him.
Back to our own vet this morning before they opened and he’d perked up so they put him on oxygen and plan to keep him overnight and tomorrow.
Sadly he deteriorated and they did a scan and found a large mass.
We were with him and he went peacefully.
Only cat that learned how to sit, paw and high 5
