Nope. Not a thing. No matter how much you try to dig, you will not find anywhere to back this up.

Great Britain is the name of the main island of the archipelago, the closest you're going to find an actual place called Britain is Brittany

After the wars of conquest in which Wales was annexed, the Kingdom of England included Wales.
That's the closest entity you'll get to your "Britain" consisting solely of England and Wales, and since, before the 100 years war, that kingdom also included Normandy and Gascony, as you can see, it's not terribly accurate to call that Britain either.

But it's not. There is no political nor geographical name that signifies those two parts of the UK together.

That's why, when we need to refer to them together, we have to say "England and Wales".
