Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
About 15 years ago I was given an 850cc Fiat Seicento from Freecycle as it wasn't running: turns out a spark plug had snapped so was a quick, and cheap, fix. The challenge was driving it through West Yorkshire's roads and their crazy drivers; the same length and only a slight bit wider than a Kei car it was far too small to feel safe and after a few weeks I sold it on. Acceleration wasn't that quick either.

The Vauxhall Agila (Suzuki Splash) I use currently for local trips and errands is just that bit longer/taller/wider to not feel as unsafe and, with a 1.2 engine, it accelerates better.

For when the standard engines just aren't enough.

I once got into a pursuit with a Mini. I was in a new S60R but the Mini just disappeared towards the horizon like the Enterprise entering warp. So fast it was comical.

The car was tracked down a few days later and we found that it had a rear mounted Volvo T5R conversion with many horsepowers, 600 or more.

Looks like it started out life as a Mk1 Austin. (Poss Mk2, but can't see the rear light clusters from this angle)

A couple of the Top Gear playthings..

These are going back on display after being threatened with destruction: And on that bombshell!

"Introducing our brand new exhibition, "And On That Bombshell" opening on Friday 28th March 2025, featuring vehicles that formerly appeared on Top Gear!

The exhibition includes vehicles from Series 3 to 32, including audience favourites like the Indestructible Hilux, Clarkson's P45, the Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust and Mr Nippy - who holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest electric ice cream van!

As part of exhibition development, some vehicles are undergoing careful conservation to ensure they are preserved for future generations. Keep an eye out as we change the vehicles around during the season. You can help our efforts by adopting one of the vehicles, providing vital support to preserve these iconic vehicles for future generations to enjoy.

This page is a work in progress - as the exhibition is built and vehicles are conserved, more information will be added so please check back soon"
