It's Dazzle camouflage so no-one can see what the new shape will be. they even have lumps of polystyrene underneath sometimes to give a false shape.

Prototype out for testing.

Indeed, we get them a lot near Stuttgart. Oddly we get a lot of Audis too.

With a registration plate?

German registration plates aren't permanent; they relate to the town the car is registered in, In this case Ingolstadt. Private cars may have half a dozen plates in their lifetime because they change if the owner moves to a different town or the car is sold over the county border. A friend once moved less then a kilometre but because they were then in a different administrative district they had to get new plates for the car.

The ebay description is a Triumph of wishful thinking. They don't know what's wrong with it, what engine it is running, or even for sure what car it is based upon yet they reckon it'll require only "gentle" recommissioning

I think it's excellently mad. It's point is its very pointlessness and daftness. You'll never, ever see another. Some may judge that to be a good thing, I couldn't possibly say ^_^

@Bonefish Blues - I hope you're not sat there thinking "I wonder if I can fit a bike rack on it ..?"

I agree it's unique. But probably unusable like the Bond Equipe I had sat on my driveway for a year. The donor forgot to mention the engine was seized and most of the Bond-specific interior parts were missing when it was given to me.
