@briantrumpet and @Ian H - did either of you Devon seat-photo-snappers cycle to Dawlish and back first thing very recently? My sister spoke to a cyclist in a shop in Stoke Canon the other chilly morning and was impressed to hear that he was already on his way home at that time.

Ha ha - a man after my own heart! I get up early when I have to, or when I have something special to do like a CycleChat forum ride. Otherwise, I enjoy a lie in.
Speaking of which...
I was slobbering about in bed one morning when my cheeky pal rang. She was up the road from here and had got a puncture. She can fix them if she has to but has some arthritis in her fingers which makes it a slow and painful process. She was outside a shop selling pasties and fancied one, and had calculated that it would be quicker for me to cycle up there and fix it for her than it would be for her to order a pastie, eat it, and do the repair herself! So... there is my singlespeed bike leaning against a seat outside the shop! (Inverted bonus bike further back on the pavement!)

If that is your black Hallett... Are the wheels 650s and what size are those tyres?
I have (700) 25C on the bike that I have left at my sister's house in Devon but am thinking of putting much bigger tyres on, though probably not THAT big! Maybe 33C. Some of the lanes I was riding on were rough so I wanted more comfort from the tyres but I didn't dare lower the pressures much for fear of snakebite punctures.
