I've taken part in PfS for the past 3 years and despite the large numbers, some poor behaviour and a lengthy wait at the start (Pat kept me company last year) ... it's a top event and something that Scotland should be very, very proud of. So, go with the flow, enjoy the excellent food stops and have a blast.

First sportive ride for me this year, can't wait! see you all at Murrayfield

I did it last year and I pretty much agree with this. It was my very first organised bike ride and I thought the organisation was pretty good for the numbers. The delay at the start is the biggest pain. I left on the first bus from Edinburgh getting to Glasgow at 8:30 ish but didnt start till 10.
I would have done it this year but failed in getting my act together.

Doing the 110.
I mind a couple of years ago I was doing my normal Sunday ride and ended up with a few people on my wheel. When I got to the Galston turn on the A77 I had people shout at me for "going the wrong way".

Glad to see you've been taking language courses before you find yourself in Auld Reekie. Just say "ae" after every sentence, and learn to take your chips with salt and sauce; you'll do fine, ken, ae.
