Got that mail now, managed to find my log in details, but it says my start time has already been generated
A few of us wanted to ride as a group, might just slot in on the sly at Dennistoun.

Got the email too, sounding like it's going to be chaotic at the start with people arriving early then getting stuck in holding pens for ages and the likelihood that many will just turn up for when they wanted to start.
Considers cycling to Drumpellier Loch and starting there

I got the same error message. Of course, since I'm doing the 110 miler, I shouldn't be starting in any of the waves mentioned. I have sent them an email asking for clarification...

Dunno about Drumpellier Loch, that's a fair bit in, but if it's going to be a faff I could see a lot of folk skipping the start

Hmm it's about 18 miles cycle from my house to Drumpellier, from the start it would be 8-10 miles. Saves the hassle of getting to Glasgow then coming back out again but maybe misses the point of a Glasgow-Edinburgh cycle!

Same error message here, 'The rider number for this individual has already been generated and the starting wave cannot be changed'. I guess they didn't bother testing it before sending out the email.

I received a canned response - no doubt they were flooded with emails yesterday.

It seems "there was an issue with the website which has now been resolved", so you should all try logging in again.

Us sportive riders will be setting off between 0645 and 0720.

I got the email too - what a palaver!! I'm still looking forward to the event but am hoping the organisation on the day itself goes a bit more smoothly than the organisation during the run-up! I'm doing PFS as a fund-raising event so I don't think my conscience would let me start after the start line - but would definitely be considering doing that if I wasn't getting sponsored!

I got my info pack in the mail today. It says there's a feed stop at Crawfordjohn - but the route on the website doesn't go through that village...

I guess I'll just expect to be surprised on the day.

Last year there was a feed stop at Douglas so may be that's what they meant

I've taken part in PfS for the past 3 years and despite the large numbers, some poor behaviour and a lengthy wait at the start (Pat kept me company last year:smile:) ... it's a top event and something that Scotland should be very, very proud of. So, go with the flow, enjoy the excellent food stops and have a blast.

First sportive ride for me this year, can't wait! see you all at Murrayfield
